Monday+: Synthesis Essays due. We will examine the documents, look at the official rubric, score some sample essays, and grade your essay. This will take a few days.
Meanwhile, you will be reading The Catcher in the Rye, that classic novel of teenage angst. Since most of you know nothing about that, discuss it on Nicenet for the next few weeks. A class from Illinois will be joining our discussion. Show off your stuff!
Here's your reading schedule:
Chapters 1-9 due Friday, Nov. 30
Chapters 10-15 due Friday, Dec. 7
Chapters 16-26 due Friday, Dec. 14
Also, read chapter two in The Language of Composition by Thursday.
POW for Period 6 due on Wednesday. No POW for Period 2.
